In 2019, we increased our activities with a significant investment on an area of 7,500 m² in the first Arms Specialized Organized Industrial Zone in Turkey and came to the forefront with innovative projects in the Machinery Equipment Production industry sector. Our R&D Center houses critical departments such as Product Development Prototype Workshop, Weapon and Ammunition Projects, while our Intellectual and Industrial Works department provides legal and commercial protection. Our R&D Test Laboratories monitor product quality and our Firing Range monitors field performance. With different engineering disciplines in the region, we realize our projects with high quality.
Sinerji R&D team, which has been continuing its R&D activities uninterruptedly since its establishment, earned the title of Kırıkkale's first R&D Center in the third quarter of 2022. The R&D Center has educated personnel from Bachelor's to Doctorate degrees. We take an active role in TEYDEP-1501 and TEYDEP-1507 projects. In addition, we are successfully carrying out projects such as 9 mm Firearm Rifled Machine Gun, 9mm Semi-Automatic Pistol and 12 Caliber Pump Shotgun.
Our company, which has been carrying out R&D activities since the first day of its establishment, has established its own unique brand line in the field of Machinery Equipment Production with two TÜBİTAK projects and many R&D studies, and has accelerated its branding policies. Some of the projects carried out by our company, which focuses on TÜBİTAK and R&D Center projects;
As a result of the increase in our work intensity and the growth of the R&D team with our export activities, 4 new Project Development Laboratories, 2 new Test Laboratories, 2 new Prototype Laboratories, 1 new Firing Range for test firing and Social Facility Areas for the personnel working on an area of approximately 10,000 m² have been equipped with the latest technological facilities and R&D activities have been carried to even higher levels.
With these large investments of 260 million made by our company, Sinerji R&D has become the first company in Kırıkkale to have an R&D Center and a full-fledged Quality Laboratory, and at a time when the country's Machinery Equipment Production industry is gaining momentum, this investment decision has made a great contribution to the development of both the country and the Kırıkkale Machinery Equipment Production industry and the employment of qualified workforce.
